KISS Tonight in NOLA - Parking/Crowds?

Can someone provide tips on parking/effect of parades on the area by the SKC? I think the dome parking garage doesn’t open until 5:00. Was hoping to go early and get an early dinner, but I’m wondering how much of a clusterfrick it will be in the area due to the PM parades. Any insight appreciated. Could get there as early as 2-3 o’clock if needed. TIA

Parades shouldn't affect the arena area too much. Maybe park at the place you want to eat then uber over to arena.

you could valet at the hyatt and eat at borgne.
or park in a flat lot off gorod area and eat at company burger or willa jean/etc
or park off lafayette under the overpass and walk

If you're getting there early, like around 5 (when folks are getting off of work but before the parade folks) you can likely get a meter on Loyola somewhere. Pay for 2 hours and cheaper than a garage. I usually do that for concerts at the Arena, then go get a drink or a bite to eat along Poydras. Walk On's, Johnny Sanchez, Gem Saloon.

This is what we do. Make sure you allow plenty of time to get down there though, traffic down to NOLA is pretty awful on Fridays...especially when a lot is going on.

Thanks all. Gonna try Loyola. What, are they no longer metered after 5 or something?

They do, but you just have to pay for a couple of hours and then you are good after that. More spots are available when it still costs money too, so this is a way to sneak in there and get a spot at a cut rate.
