He produced Arcade Fire, Coldplay

I am guessing this album will be the least of my favorites

They haven't made good music in about 12 years. Hard pass for me.

that anything past the 2nd record can even be considered a favorite is concerning

I didn't like anything past the first one... and even that one had very little lasting power...

Can't wait to hear it. I am sure it will show up on Alt Nation soon.

David Gilmour, Bob Rock, Flood, and Atticus Ross could all co-produce and still wouldn't listen.

New Single "Waste A Moment"

LINK

Sounds a little more like their original stuff, but nothing earth shattering...Still looking forward to hearing the rest of the record

They aren't ever going to sound like the first few albums again because they aren't in their late teens and early twenties or on hardcore drugs. Not a bad single.

New song is pretty good imo, I dig it.

It's not terrible. And I share the widely held view that their first two albums are the only good ones (some decent numbers on 3rd album though).

I wish they didn't use that lyricless vocal melody shite in the chorus and used guitar for that instead. Would make it way better.

Also if you took off the lead singer Caleb what's his face and made the production a little less poppy/frilly, it almost sounds like something from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah what with the general arrangement, tempo, mood of the song, etc.
