what is the most simple way to do it?
I just want to play it through my mustang amp no pedals or anything, just a little picking so yall can hear it. Not a song or anything just playing some chords and stuff.

Trying to figure out how to mic it without feedback. I want it to sound exactly like it does right now. I can then upload to soundcloud.

I just used the voice recorder on this laptop, mostly it sounds OK but has a lot of drop out. That's OK for this, just want the guitar sound to get across.
What's the easiest way to share that?

Upload it to Google Drive. Enable link sharing for that specific file. Get a link for that file. Post that link in this thread.

Just got it to work. Had some bad drop out from the laptop mic. Had about 1 minute of decent recording starting at 1:45
Having to learn to do without a pick for this guitar, I'm not use to that.

You're going to catch the bug - once you get one of those USB direct recording interfaces and drop for a commercial DAW, that's going to eat all your spare time.
BTW, sounds twangy, in a good way.
ETA: Good thing I just taught myself how to do the link sharing thing last night so I could talk you through it.

I have all that stuff and don't know how to use it yet
But I just finished with this junk guitar, and thought it turned out well, and wanted to share it in a quick simple way.
I think it may have turned out better if I used this blue snowball thing, instead of the laptop mic?
Thanx for your help

I really enjoyed it. On my third listen.

Thank you, it will get better. I have to learn to play this one, because you can't really use a pick on it, and I've never played without a pick. I really like the sound of it though.
It's a cheap squire affinity Telly with a rosewood fretboard, I stuck classic vibe pick ups and electronics in it. Made a new nut and strung it with the bottom strings out of a 12 string set. I'm really liking how it worked out.
Later tonight I'm gonna work on getting some better recording done. I was just using the built in mic on the laptop and it kept dropping out. That's what all of those silent spaces were, I never stopped playing.

Sounds really good. I can totally relate to upgrading lower end guitars. I’m in the process now of doing that to a Squier strat I’ve had for over 20 years. So far I’ve got a new pick guard that I’ve loaded with an Obsidian Wire solder-less HH wiring system. Next step will be to order the humbuckers from Seymour Duncan.

Sounds like you know what the hell you are doing

I like to do it, if I can get the parts for cheap. I was able to get the pick ups and pots and switches cheap, because a kid had upgraded his classic vibe telly and didn't want the old stuff anymore.
I bought that affinity for 100 bucks, a kid had traded it in on Vintage line Stratocaster. He had really taken care of the little telly, it's in perfect condition. It's Teal green metal flake finish (I think they call it British Racing Green but it's teal to me) with white pickguard. It looks great and right now I have about 150 bucks in it, plus a little bit of time.

Not really, still just learning, like everybody else. Thanks though.

That’s awesome. Anytime you can find quality parts for cheap, it’s a good thing.

Don't know where you live, but if you are anywhere close to Childersburg, check out Rick's Guitars, he has a lot of parts. He's a cool guy too. I like doing business with him.

Aubie guitarists unite? I play recreationaly as well. Love it but prob not as good as you or a lot on here. I use Ultimate Guitar tab for pretty much all songs and can play most.
