My absolute favorite piece of music, and it has Bela Fleck telling the story behind the picking.

Jesus..Sam Bush and this entire group... how good can you get?

I've heard the Flecktones play it but I never knew it was a New Grass Revival song.

I guess he is also setting it up for Metric Lips, and that's also fantastic,in a different way.

He can go from classical genius to Mountain Hillbilly,in the flutter of a hummingbird wing.

The term "genius" gets tossed around way too often but if he isn't one, then I don't know who is.

I showed the video to a guy I work with who plays in a local bluegrass band and he said that it was pretty rare for Bela to talk that much back then. When I've seen him with the Flecktones, he talks to the audience a good bit but my co-worker said it was very different back in the NGR days.

I think there was an agreement, and Sam Bush was the front man and talker. I love Sam Bush,he is a genius too,and there had to be that deal when 2 legends are working together. Incredible stuff was going to happen, and I like the way that Bush acted about it. He is just glad to be there, enjoying everything about it. I don't care what line of work you are in,that is the type person we should all strive to be.

I've seen him once at the 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. He and Jerry Douglas played with nearly every band that came on stage for 4 straight days.

Bigfoot is such a great song. So many dynamics.
