Joe's 12th studio album came out recently. Anyone give it a listen yet? I'm going through it right now, and it's solid as always. Really like Mountain Climbing a lot.

also, how under appreciated is this guy? i feel like i rarely hear him talked about.

The knock on him on this board is that he's too good for the blues. I agree with that to a point but I have a hard time criticizing a guy for being accurate.

His studio material is great. In person, amazing. We have seen him twice at the Ryman and have not been disappointed. Great live show. Waiting for a JB and Beth Hart US tour

He has a much cleaner sound than most blues players but he is just amazing IMO. It's also amazing how often he comes out with a new studio album.

Only nock I can come up with is you can't buy a great vintage guitar these days without him buying it or turning it down first. I go see him every time I can big fan.

I heard he recently trimmed his collection down to 50. He was at C & M Music over on Williams Blvd. a few months back before playing at the Saenger. Melvin tried to show him a few of the Baudier's he has on the wall and JB wouldn't even look at them. He said if it's not vintage he's not interested. So, it looks like that number 50 isn't going to hold up!!!
