I'll never understand why Beth hart isn't more famous than she is. This is the only version I've ever heard that comes close to Tina Turner

She is criminally underappreciated. I saw her open for Edwin McCain at HOB in NOLA back in the 90s. This was when she was battling her demons and it was apparent she was blitzed out of her head. On what, who knows. But, her performance was fantastic. One of, if not the best, most powerful female vocal performance I’ve ever seen. She came back out during Edwin’s set and they did a few together. It was an outstanding performance. I’m happy she seems to have gotten herself together. Edwin also, although I do t think his was nearly as bad as hers.
