Love some Croce and would've liked to have seen where his career went. The videos of him performing with Maury M (his guitar player) are good. I like a lot of his non singles: Next Time This Time; New York's Not My Home, Hey Tomorrow, One Less Set of Footsteps, Photographs and Memories.

Do yourself a favor and check out some of those.

Was a big fan. I remember when I heard of his death it was very sad.

Many years ago, before Don McLean transferred to Iona College, he was at Villanova where Jim Croce was also a student and they played together.

Some of my favorites from Jim Croce:

Photographs and Memories

Lover's Cross

It Doesn't Have To Be That Way

Salon and Saloon

Haven't listened to that one in years. Thanks for the mention - that's awesome.

Jim Croce was a wonderful singer/songwriter. All I know is his "Greatest Hits" but damn if every song on there is not killer.

I have every song he recorded. Even the ones recorded at home not released. No telling how far he could have went. He was really just comming on the scene when he was killed.

Hung out at his bar in San Diego. Wife or ex wife's bar now of course. It was pretty cool. Everything they played was his stuff or other awesomeness.

Go there often when I'm in San Diego. Pretty good food as well and great live music on the weekends.
