Based on the gruesome twosome(Toya and JBE) I would not count on it happening.

Most likely not happening at least in April/may. Am artist friend of mine said he hadn't received the application to exhibit out there and that usually comes out around Thanksgiving.

I heard some rumors about trying to do something in November but who knows.

Jazz Fest as we knew it will likely never happen again.

I have a hard time envisioning a capacity crowd at a festival or major venue ever again.

It certainly isn't going to happen in the next year.

Of course it will--we just have to get over all this covid crap first.

Fingers crossed for 2022.

I certainly hope so, but I think you're naive on this.

That's probably more than a year out, and even then there's going to be a ton of apprehension about the transmission of disease at mass gatherings forever now.

I don't see there being any mass gatherings unless covid is completely eradicated, which will be a long time.

The hysteria over this is too huge.

I believe they will do this to us every time there is a novel virus going forward, no matter how benign.

Mass gatherings as we knew them are, in my opinion, probably a thing of the past.

Plenty of teenagers/college kids would pack festivals right now if they were being put on.

I understand that, and I'm one of those people craving to get back into a packed arena or sold out festival.

I just don't envision us being allowed to do that the way we used to inside of the next 3-5 years. This hysteria isn't just going to evaporate.

You know this isn't the last time we're going to do this right?

Perhaps. But there have been plenty of pandemics before and they’ve all run their course. Hell many previously dangerous viruses have become common colds after several years. Maybe big crowds will be a niche for the young and the young at heart for awhile but they’ll be back. Too much money to be made if nothing else.

For now, you're right. Forever? They'll be back barring more frequent pandemics.
