I will jump back into the thread and say that I bought their first two albums when they were CTA. Smoked dope and listened to them. Back before computers, cell phones and CD's.

Their first 3 albums were good, and then VII came, in which they even had one of the 4 sides in a jazz vein, which I enjoyed, showed a lot of promise, then after that album, then went back to their commercial side. I guess they were a good 'hit' band, but had the capacity to do a lot more, and then they lost Terry Kath, which didn't help...
