I like it. It's not Deadwing, but it's got some great songs on it.

I sure as frick hope The Incident isn't their swan song. That would be a sorry arse way to go out for such a great band.

Who is under rating this album? It's generally understood to be one of Porcupine Tree's best releases. It's my favorite of theirs.

It's the only PT album I like, so yes...very underrated. The first time I heard "Strip the Soul", I knew that was going to be a record that I wanted.

In Absentia has the best songs on it, but Deadwing is far more cohesive. That said, the album is criminally underrated, as were Porcupine Tree in general.

No kidding. I could just never get into it at all. Steven has implied that more PT will happen in the future, but it will probably be re-tooled. I'm assuming Richard Barbieri will come back as he has been there since basically the beginning. Who knows about Gavin Harrison and Colin Edwin, though. That's a hell of a rhythm section, but I'm not sure if they'll fit what Steven envisions for the future of the band.

Love this album. My wedding first dance song was to Trains.

I wouldn't say underrated, because as you say, everyone that's hears them pretty much loves them.
I will say they are criminally underexposed though. I amazes me how many people I meet who have never heard of them.
