I don't think drake ever insinuates he is a "gangster" in his lyrics

Never said he did. I said he isn't able to because of his background.

If he isnt trying to, whats the problem?

are you saying you have to be gangster to rap, and you should only be able to rap about being a gangster?

No it limits what he raps about. Which all he raps about is money, bitches, and drugs. Cool.

Negative! Their lyrics are more creative than any other rappers. You may not like them, but they are actually great rappers.
Um, no. Nothing is creative about Wayne's lines these days. Carter II era, sure. Nowadays, he's flat out horrible. And nothing is creative about Drake's rapping talent either. Now, I like Drake as an overall artist and singer, but he's not the best rapper by any stretch of the imagination. There are so many current rappers better than them, mainstream and underground.

not at all dirty nasty and mickey avalon are a couple of my favorite rappers and they just rap about goofy stuff in la, drake on the other hand raps about how great he is , money and that's pretty much it, just like almost every other mainstream rapper the past 10 years. i guess the biggest problem i have with drake is he's "marketed" as some sort of cutting edge big time rapper, and he bring virtually nothing new to the table except some autotuned verses. you give me millions to hire producers and writers and a autotune booth and i can crank out some drake albums. you talk about clever lyrics, all they are doing is word playing, good rappers tell a story about a scene, they put you in a time.
