I am not a professional musician so I just change them when they break or simply start to sound stale. So, not very often.

As soon as they start to sound dead. Typically every 2-4 weeks. I fricking hate changing strings. I have a buddy that's a big time guitar tech (currently with Joe Perry) and back in the day he'd try and get me to get into the teching business, but the thought of changing all those strings all the time, just...ugh.

I use Ernie Ball 10's on all my electrics. On my acoustics (which I play 90% of the time) I recently switched to John Pearse strings. You need to check these out. They're dirt cheap, they sound really fantastic, and they seem to hold their tone for a good while.

Depends on how often you play. I wait until the strings sound … well, until I don't like the sound. Then I restring. I'm starting to favor the extended wear strings, since I play four guitars, including a 12-string.

Probably don't change as often as I should. I change when I find that the set is not staying in tune after I'm doing a lot of bending or when I notice the sound is getting dead.

I use mostly GHS strings but the model depends on the guitar.
For the black strat, I use GHS Gilmour 010 012 016 028w 038w 048w

For the hollow body, Boomers: 011 015 018 026w 036w 050w

For the tele, Nickel Rockers: 010 013 017 026w 036w 046w

For the Ricky lap steel, GHS nickel roundwound C6 strings: 015 017 022 026 030w 036w

My acoustic gets D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 012 016 024w 032w 042w 053w. I do want to try some Elixirs though.
