what's the best tuner on the market in the $10-$15 range?

Download an app on your phone. Don't waste money on a tuner. You always have your phone on your and its pretty much always charged.

No idea, it's a custom, serial 1146608 if that makes any difference.

Sounds right, i've had it for a long time. We called Martin one time to see how much it would cost to have one made and it was either $2k or $3k

What kind of Martin is it? D-18? D-28? HD-28....There are many, many different models. It will say inside on the neck block

We also need to know what year it is (or serial number)

I really don't think you're going to get much more than this guitar is worth because of his signature.

It would drive the price up on a shitty guitar but considering you already have a high end instrument I don't believe that signature will do anything but hurt its value.

However that being said lets get some pictures of this bitch

I suggest you google "ways to remove sharpie from wood/plastic" (depending on if it's on a pick guard or on wood).

I don't have a camera that'll do the guitar justice. I'll put em up as soon as I can

Why did Hootie have to sign a goddamn Martin? Sign a Yamaha or some shite.

exactly. the signature would make a $150 guitar worth $600+ or something

a $3,000 guitar is not going to be worth "more" value because of the signatures and would only limit the customer base for it...therefore technically decreasing the value of it in reality since it will be harder to sell

damn I wish someone would give me a custom Martin guitar...I dont give a shite if it was signed by Hannah Montana, Beiber or Nickelback

Sell it.

Artists typically sign $100 guitars to give away, so just because it's a Martin doesn't mean it adds value...the guitar is probably worth more than the signatures, in fact the signatures might detract from the value if it's worth what you say.

I'd sell it for fair market value and say the signatures are just a "bonus" I guess.

Then, if you get anywhere near $3k (which you won't), you can let a Guitar Center salesperson talk you into a $600 Taylor that you're going to pick up half a dozen times and will quickly become a dust-covered-in-the-corner afterthought.

We'll be able to tell a lot based on body shape, woods, tuners, inlays, purfling, binding, etc.
