Just found them on Spotify and im loving the album they just came out with this year. A little bit poppy and cheesy at times but i like it

I like the band, but something about the singer... like... he can't really sing that well, but it kind of works?
he sounds awful live

When I heard Moneygrabber the first time I thought it was an old Hall and Oates I had missed.

Their popularity rose steadily on their tour supporting their first album. I saw them at Voodoo on the Bingo stage back in like 2011 and there were maybe 100 people there. Great show. The drummer is from New Orleans.
I haven't liked what I've heard from their new CD. Hate the first single. Loved the first CD though.

I'm not normally like this, and I hate to say it, but that's what I don't like about it. They got signed by a bigger label and had to make a few pop hits and it doesn't sound as good as their first CD. I need to give the second album a complete listen before I judge too harshly, though.
But definitely give the first CD a listen.

God forbid they make some catchy songs.

They are hated by the skateboard community after Mike Mo Capaldi skated to "Moneygrabber"

come on man... they are on dangerbird
it's considered a "major-label debut" according to every review of the album i've read.

I was very surprised when I moved to New Orleans to learn how large this community actually is.

Yeah bro. I have been at it for 12 years now and love it more than ever. Although I am not the typical skateboarder as I hold a college degree and have a 9-5.

Well dangerbird is an independent label so I don't know what to tell those reviewers.
It's a label that has minus the bear, silversun pickups, royal teeth etc.
It's not a big 5 major label..

Heard them at a festival in April. The song 'Don't Need To Work Things Out' is a great fricking song. First album I think was recorded in singer's living room.

They haven't changed their sound or their look and have signed to an Indy label. There's no way anyone can say they "sold out"
