So discoverd this dude a couple months ago and he is now my new favorite artist. He's closing at Hogs on Friday night and we are definitely going to check him out. Question is, General Admission ins $50 for Friday and he is all we are interested in seeing. There's 2 other acts on his stage before him, what are the crowds like for this event, and expectation of getting near the front of the stage, etc, get there early, set up chairs an just wait his set out? ...there are some VIP tix that promises "front of stage viewing" and some food and alcohol included, are these VIP worth it for $225 for the day?

Just looking for advise from folks that have attended theis event. We rarely go to these music festivals but I can't pass up seeing this guy live. TIA.

I don't think the vip is worth it. You can get pretty damn close if you get there early enough.

I bought my GA ticket and that's my plan.

Very excited to see SWJr.

looking at this year's lineup, has this fest turned into a country-ish fest now? I feel like the lineups used to be more diverse.

If you get there around 5-6 and set up a chair you should be able to get pretty close and then roam around the fest and try all the great food. I will be slinging Boudin Burritos at Mr. Pigglesworth booth (near that main stage that Stephen is playing on)

You’ll likely be able to walk right up to the stage or at least very close

This should be easily done with just Gen Adm. Get there as close as you can to the opening (I want to say it's 4:30pm) and drop your chairs in a spot you like before sampling at the booths. Even if you're there by 6 or so, you should be fine. Most folks are there to eat first, and see music 2nd...though I think SWJ is becoming appointment viewing for a growing number.

I cannot wait for the show

If you are going with a woman it’s 100% worth it for the clean air conditioned bathrooms and shaded spot to sit and relax plus open bar.
