Here is a link to 7 songs from one of their best performances ever, best lineup, before they fully exploded: LINK

They were great. Their catalogue is unmatched.
Loved the Rolling Stones up to and including Exile on Main Street. After that, still enjoyed their live shows, but the albums after that were way too commercial for my tastes.
The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd output was at least as good as The Stones.
I have to say though, Sympathy For the Devil may be the best rock song ever in my book.

Growing up I was not much of a fan of the Stones either. However, several years ago I started buying used CD's on Amazon to save to my iPod and I purchased several of theirs from the mid 60's to the early 70's.(Sticky Fingers, Exile On Main Street, Let It Bleed, Beggars Banquet, etc) I discovered quite a few songs that were more blues or country music influenced than the standard Stones songs that were played on the radio. Memory Motel, Loving Cup, You Got the Silver, Moonlight Mile, Sweet Black Angel, Dead Flowers, Let It Bleed, Dear Doctor, Sweet Virginia, Torn and Frayed, Sway, I Got The Blues are some of the great, lesser known Stones songs from that era.

We now get to discover how much truly great shite they produced instead of just hearing Jumpin' Jack Flash and Start Me Up on classic rock radio.
So much this. Listening to classic rock radio, it's hard to get a good appreciation for a lot of the bands that get their blandest singles played to death like The Rollin' Stones, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Journey, Deep Purple, etc. The deeper cuts are so damn good.
