Say what you want about the guys, but they put on one hell of a live show. I've been to a few 311 day concerts, and they were all great

311 - Champagne

311 - Omaha Stylee

Outside of a few singles, I can’t get into them after their S/T album. But those first 3 albums are awesome. Grassroots is my favorite.

I still haven’t seen them live. I had tickets to see them in 2005 but Katrina postponed the show and I couldn’t make it when they came back around. Hope to see them at some point.

Some of my favorites are their more recent work:

-Sunset in July
-Island Sun
-Too Late

And from their earlier catalog:
-Eons
-Getting Through to Her
-Speak Easy
-Omaha Stylee
-Six

I must have seen them on an off night.

It was not good. This was right after Down had gotten big.

No you don’t. As a former fan in my early teens, the music and lyrics don’t hold up well. These guys are in their 50s. It’s depressing

Saw them back to back nights at the Filmore in nola last mardi gras. They are great live. It's hard to pick a favorite album but I would have to say music. Chad Sexton is very underrated drummer imo

Yep. I saw them in The Grove at Oxford back in '95 with No Doubt opening. That was weird out of place type band but helluva show for that knew about them. I never would have thought No Doubt would have gone on to be bigger.

Agreed. Some surprisingly good songs on that album. Always a fav band of mine and never saw a bad show from them.

I saw their transistor set replayed on 3/12, and they remain solid as ever.

That was a great show. We were in the first balcony & it was moving so much we thought it was going to collapse. The State Palace Theater was such an amazing place to see a show.
