Guitar players. What's your favorite setup?

If you play a lot, I know the definition of "favorite" can depend on the mood you're in.
My favorites:
Piddling around: 2005 Line 6 700 Variax through the Line 6 POD pedal and vintage 1967 Fender Delux Reverb. It's great playing on this setup; you can burn hours just messing with the different samplings (guitar and amps).
Finger picking: 1977 Gibson ES175 through a 1990 Mesa Boogie Mark III.
Rock and roll riffs: 1970 Les Paul Recording through 1976 Marshall 50W head on top of a Marshall half stack. The LP Recording is a special guitar; it was way ahead of its time.
What about you?

I only have one amp these days, but I run my ESP, my strat, and my p bass through a line 6 tone port to my computer. it has an audio out to my amp. I just switch different models and effects from the software on my laptop.

I wish I knew how to do this. I know the Line 6 POD has that capability but I haven't taken the time to explore it. A buddy of mine owns C & M Music and he's pretty knowledgeable about the Line 6 equipment, I need to get some advice on this.

I prefer my acoustic sans amp as I sing too. Dont like competing with the noise from an amp.

Line 6 sucks tone like a bitch.

My prs custom 22 through a boss ME-50 (mainly used for delay and chorus), into my Mesa Rectoverb

it's easy with my toneport because it's all on the software on my computer. a few clicks and I can have whatever sound I want from heavy distortion to spacey sounding cleans

Fender Strat (American, obviously) and two cables. One to a vintage tubescreamer and the other to a vintage tube amp. I'm simple, though.

The Variax 700?
The Variax 700 is a great instrument. I can tell you that the tone I get with my setup are dead on with the real thing (I own a lot of the guitars that are sampled and have compared one against the other).
I also have a Variax 600 and it sounds OK but isn't close to the 700 (of course, the 600 was half the price of the 700). Like I said, I enjoy sitting down for a few hours just piddling with it.

I didn't know that. They have/had a few locations around the state. I'll drop by the Williams Blvd. location in Metairie to check that out.

Taylor 210 ce - Nothing, just my hands.
2 Fender Strats - Behringer multi fx (I use this for the delay, and I'm not kidding when I say the delay on it destroys any other delay pedal I've tried), VOX wah pedal, Boss Blues Driver, Boss Destortion, Boss loop station. Peavey amp ( I am about to upgrade)
Ibanez Artcore - Mega Destortion, Overdrive, Blues Driver, Tremolo

Sounds like a pretty complicated set-up!
What amp are you upgrading to?

The JTV-59 remains my Excalibur. Someday, it will be mine.
