Fare Thee Well was badass regardless of them not being in sync and that’s mostly Phil & Bobby’s fault anyways.

Chicago is easily a top concert experience for me. Awesome weekend.

You know Damone I always stick up for you. They say oh, Damone that loud mouth - and they say that a lot. I say oh, no you just don't know Damone. I mean when they call you an idiot, I say Damone's not an idiot. Well, you know something maybe they know you pretty good. Maybe I'm just starting to find out.

I like those spafford fellas.

I caught Spafford down the street from my house here in Steamboat Springs on Thursday night. My friends have been fans and came in for the Colorado run. I joined them for the show in Steamboat. A super clean gel tab and a single song first set later, I'm also a fan.

Tiny venue and the crowd was freakin' insane. Never experienced a show like that in my life. The first set was just a long jam, not a word sung or an actual song played. Feels Like a Stranger to close it out, and then Backdoor Funk encore.

I like those Spafford fellas too.

so i started in reverse. I went to 3 JRAD shows over 3 years and then finally started listening to the Dead. Jrad is not the dead and they don't try to be. They are faster and tighter in sections than the dead. They do improvise closest to the way the Dead did in their hay day. Dead and Co is a great show and i am happy to see the music live on through most of the founding members. I listen to a lot of dead(almost daily). but when i want to jam i put on Jrad.

Just want to add I caught Phil’s set at the Pot of Gold festival out in Arizona this weekend. I wasn’t expecting much but he crushed it. Was very entertaining and crowd was into it.

JRAD is even better when you know the Grateful Dead song catalog. Granted, you need to be well-versed with a far broader catalog than just the Dead to truly appreciate the teases and jams played by JRAD.

I saw JRAD at Red Rocks last August after becoming very familiar with the Grateful Dead's songs. They take the familiar songs and make them unfamiliar. In a great way.
