Got my first Tele today

Traded an acoustic I had laying around for it. Dont really know much about it, headstock says its MIM.

How does the telly sound? It'll be a fine guitar I'm sure. Nice case too.

Bound teles are also the upper echelon whether MIM, MIA, MIC, MII ... I'd say you scored big time. High five.

I'm thinking about slapping a pearl pickguard on it.

I don't mind a standard Tele, but the Telecaster Deluxe is in my all-time top 5.

I had one of those in The 90s, exactly like that one, and I never could warm up to it. I got a Thinline with the Humbuckers and it's kind of the same problem. I guess I'm just not crazy about humbuckers. That's why they make a lot of different models I guess.

edit to add: I wish I had bought the thinline with a rosewood fretboard instead of the maple, that might have made a difference.

That purdy thang would match up well with a Vox AC15.
