Anyone else going to see the legend this Thursday 3/17?
This is the closest he's going to get to Texas on this tour so I pulled the trigger to make this trip. At 77 he's not getting any younger.

Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was one of the first songs I heard as a kid that told the story of a true historical event. Even now, one of my favorite things about a song is if it tells a story (even if it isn't entirely true, just something interesting). Our music teacher played it for us in class in about 2nd or 3rd grade. Have always liked it and really enjoy Gordon Lightfoot.

Lightfoot is seriously under-rated. He did what he did in his lane about as well as anybody. I remember when Belushi od'd and it came out that Cathy Smith was who Sundown was written about. That's good rock and roll stuff, right there.

if you can track down a bootleg of Dylan's rolling thunder shows in 75 he's excellent on those as well.

Heroin makes music better.... Until the artist dies.
I'm sure his voice has suffered. But would still be cool to see him in a small venue.
