So I've been playing acoustic for nearly 6 months and I can play pretty good and stuff and I wanna switch to electric. My questions are:

How do y'all learn songs? It seems like there's tons of places to find chord tabs of songs, but nowhere has lead parts hardly.

What do I need to learn next? Pretty much I got chords down and I can play most songs I look at well. Not sure where to go from here

Do y'all have any helpful guitar websites maybe?

Any and all help is appreciated fellas

Ulimate-guitar.com is solid.

The logical next step is learning scales and how to improv.

Yeah. Learn the pentatonic scale. It will help you with being able to solo within a given key. Then you can learn more about other scales. Don't worry about playing a solo note for note, just get something that carries the feel of the song. You don't want to simply be a mimic. Music is best when it's living and breathing.

Yeah, ultimate guitar is really good. Once you get reading tabs down, you can learn a song in just a couple hours.

Tabs are good for what they are, but I would suggest starting to learn songs by ear. Developing your ear will do wonders for you down the road.
