That's awesome. I'm still mindblown by the internet sometimes... You can chat with an opening band member from 1988 and pull the set list and listen to the Danzig show that night

They were covering a lot of Misfits and Samhain back in those days LINK

I had no idea that existed! Thank you very much for that link, and for proving that I'm not making this shite up. Now if you could only use the internet to find out what band opened for him that night, you'll blow my cover. I still have the newspaper ad from the show featuring our bands, and also a video that our roadie took. One of the best things about being an opening act is that after you perform you can take in the main act, and it was one hell of a show!

I'll see if I can dig up the ad for that show. I'll take a pic and post it if I find it, blocking out the opening act's name of course >ahem<.

FOUND IT!!!

Sorry for the sideways pic.

I guess if listed in the same billing as Danzig, Metallica and Quensryche in 1988, I must have been doing something right.

I found that yesterday, Degas, and chose not to post it.

Glenn should figure out where Chuck Biscuits is these days and get him to play. Excellent drummer.

Since people posting here are familiar with Danzig, am I the only one who thinks Danzig I is one of the best hard edge rock albums of all time?

It is an excellent album.

I like Danzig II better, and I think Danzig III is recognized as the 'masterpiece.' But 1 is strong for sure.

If you haven't done so, listen to 'When Death had No Name,' a lost track that was going to be included on 1.

I did too after that Old Mill post... fortunately for him, there is like zero other trace of that band on the internet.. anonymity secure!

I've had all their music for years and years. Glen, Biscuits, and Christ together were phenomenal. If Danzig III came out today, it be the best album in the last 20 years.

I was going to reply, "I was a punk before you" in homage to the Tubes. I went to check the exact name of the song title before I posted it, and THIS youtube vid popped up. You won't believe the irony when you see what shirt Fee Waybill is wearing. (and yes, I have seen the Tubes. Always a good show.)
