What is the board's opinion on this band? I saw them on SNL and while they do have a unique style, I find them to be a little too "theatrical" for my tastes if that makes sense.

Oh, and is it just me or does ....

look like

and

look like

One of the best pure pop bands to come out in a while. Love that album.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't make any sense.

well it kind of makes sense... "we are young" has a great chorus/hook... but the verses are really lacking

A song doesn't require a hook. Or any specific structure. I find songs that deviate from standard verse, hook, bridge, verse, hook structure to be interesting and refreshing when done well.

Like the song "Some Nights". I have no idea what is going on in this song, but I love it.

The hook/background in Some Nights sounds just like Simon and Garfunkle's Cecelia.

I just listened to this song. I can hear a similarity between the background vocals in Some Nights and the song Cecilia. But they are very different songs.

It's good on vinyl. Got that fullness a little, but I wouldn't say it's a vast difference.
