My opinion? You have a great guitar that will produce absolutely marginal gains at best if treated like a line item in a financial portfolio. Enjoying it daily is a guaranteed daily ROI. Play the hell out of it, take care of its upkeep and fix it when it needs fixing.

Keep three of the best ones for yourself. Set one up with a little higher action for slide, put a high Nashville tuning on one( you will have to make a new nut, do it David Gilmour style with a bottom E on top and a B string in place of the A string), and use one for open tunings. Then give the others away, but make sure they will go to a kid who will really use them.

It’s called “alternate tuning” guitars. Just have them ready. Wanna play Moonlight Mile (open G). There’s youre guitar. Wanna noodle around in double drop d and piss off everybody in the house until your hands hurt? Grab the other guitar.
