Definitely believable
My favorite is the totally true story he tells about when he was on tour back in the day and someone had talked him into joining the Columbia House 12 albums for a penny club. He was out on the road and they sent him Billy Joel's "Storm Front" because he wasn't home to send back the card saying not to send it. Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he'd never have heard and later recorded the song "Shameless" otherwise.

I checked this channel out today because of this thread, was legit, sucks that it’s leaving.
Enjoyed the different genres that were played.

Yeah that one is funny because Billy Joel's Shameless version kinda sucks. But Garth acts like its the greatest thing he's ever heard
Another funny one is how he acts like Unanswered Prayers was based off a true story of him running into his high school girlfriend at an event while he was with his wife. Yeah such a great unanswered prayer that you ended up divorcing her for fat Trisha Yearwood

The songs weren't bad, but his commentary between songs is pretty creepy and cringey
He goes way too overboard being noncommittal and overly unoffensive. Sometimes he is offensive in how he tries to be unoffensive.

The Garth channel was super lame anyways. They would play a Garth song maybe once an hour. They play more Garth on Prime Country.
I couldn't take Garth coming on between every song and doing that weird breathy voice about how he loves some random group like One Republic or Lady Gaga and why this next song is the best thing ever recorded.

I always thought he was just high as shite while he did those little cut ins. His cadence is so slow, hushed and there's always a long pause at the end. I won't miss it all that much. Wonder what's going to replace it

They need to bring back the original Billy Joel channel. It was the GOAT. It was never as good as the first time it aired
