I remember when you posted these before. Great pics, and they put on a great show at Jazz Fest...

I'm hoping to check them out at Music Midtown. Tickets are better than most festivals, although there are less bands than most festivals also.

To the orginal question.

Wasting Light is my new favorite. I didn't the anything would ever beat out Color and the Shape but this did for me.

I thought it would for me. Wasting Light is such a solid record. When I think about putting Wasting Light ahead I think it's because the album only has two tracks I don't really care for. (back and forth, and a matter of time) Those have grown on me but are my least favorite. Other than that it is their heaviest album yet and that's when they are at their best IMO.

Colour and the Shape is the same way for me in the sense that I will usually skip two tracks. (Wind up, and My Poor Brain)But I put it over Wasting Light because while I prefer the heavier Foo songs...Colour and the Shape did such a good job of capturing the bands full potential. You have some of their better slower songs on this one with Doll, February Stars, and Walking After you. This album really set the tone for the rest of their career so it deserves to be #1 on this list.

It's awesome that Wasting Light is such a good album. Very few bands, especially modern rock bands, can release a record 16 years after their debut and it be among the best. Chili Peppers and Tool are the other two that come to mind. Incubus is one of my favorite bands, but they took a major plunge after Morning View.

I'm surprised Colour is such an overwhelming choice. It's maybe my third favorite.

Absolutely. It's been a very fun 17 years so far. Saw them at Jazzfest and they killed it despite the heat.

I see a few of you putting One by One toward the bottom of your list. To me that says a lot when an album like that makes the bottom of the list. It had one of their biggest hits ever with All My Life. Low is such heavy foo track that it would fit perfectly on Wasting Light. Time's Like These....another HUGE hit. And two of my personal favorites Tired of You and Halo. Hell...Brian May from Queen wrote the guitar for Tired of You!

Yup. I just can't justify it over ESPG's 1st disc.

Wasting Light
C & S

I want to see these guys at a huge venue. Arena rock is alright, but I want to be in a big clusterfrick of people. Wish I was out of college when they went to Wembley. That would have been epic to be there. Such an awesome live band.
