what is crazy is also that year perfume genius, cloud nothings, real estate, spoon all had albums that year. I guess 3 years is a thing.

I hope we get a new caribou album this year. that was definitely on my top 10 list. Doubtful as Daphni dropped a new one this year, although it sounds like it is all remixes.

Lots of the usual suspects on here that I'd probably put on my list as well.

I'd add/emphasize:

Indie:
Kevin Morby: City Lights

Metal:
Elder: Reflections of the Floating World

Pop:
Lorde: Melodrama

Yeah I know you mentioned them just wanted to emphasize the quality of those albums I guess, just don't want others missing out

I can't wait any longer. I kinda wish it would leak.

Another note:

Father John Misty wrote Pure Comedy a long time ago, and has said they are about to start mixing his next. It is possible we get another from him this year. Sturgill Simpson is another possibility for a release late this year, but I think he'll have a new album in Spring 2018.

We also have the National coming up, and Grizzly Bear. Manchester Orchestra has an album dropping Friday and it has a 96 score on metacritic with 7 reviews in thus far.

311 - Mosaic is the best thing they've put out since Soundsystem.

I don't think I'd go that far. On first listen of this album, was pretty meh. Maybe have to listen a few more times but From Chaos, Evolver and Uplifter are far better IMO.
