Whatever device I'm using to play music is almost always on shuffle so this rarely happens to me.

Sometimes if I get in the car and a song I really like is on the iPod, I'll back it up to the beginning so I can listen to the whole thing. Very rarely will I re-listen to a song over and over unless it's a song I'm learning to play.
I remember back in the days of radio if you pulled into the driveway and a good song was playing, you'd sit there and listen to the rest of the song before shutting the car off.
