Grohl hints at it

I hope this is just a little hiatus for Them Crooked Vultures and what not. I would hate to see them break up.

UPDATE: Dave speaks

quote:

"There were times when I didn't think the band would survive. There were times when I wanted to give up," he wrote. "But…I can't give up on this band. And I never will. Because it's not just a band to me. It's my life. It's my family. It's my world."

Typical band is tired from touring. I think Dave Said he wants to focus on the new Them Crooked Vultures album.

Normally I would agree but shite...they're relentless about touring. That's one of their staples. Hopefully thats it though.

Reddit has a couple rumors involving Grohl and JPJ and the led zeppelin reunion...interesting if nothing else.

was watching the concert on Paladia and I just took it as this was the last show of the tour... but that makes sense reading the article

Bummer. This isn't the first time this has happened, though, so I'll assume this is temporary. Foo Fighters is a Grohl-owned "company", so I'm really hopeful he's just putting it on the back burner temporarily to get the new Them Crooked Vultures/Queens of the Stone Age/Led Zep reunion stuff out of his system...

Let's hope so. Grohl is good. I love T Hawk and Shiflett's solo projects but they're so much better as the Foos.

They didnt announce it last time though did they?

The first time was an ugly internal mess, during the original recording sessions for the "One By One" album. You're correct; they didn't announce it. Grohl was spending a lot of time then doing the Queens of the Stone Age album and that, combined with their dissatisfaction with the "One By One" recording, sort of drove them to the brink of breaking up. Grohl is doing it better this time. I hope they'll be back in a few years, better than ever...

I can actually see this being it. Watching the B&F documentary made me wonder. At one point, he said, "I mean what can you do other that we haven't done? Wembley? Did that. So I said we'll do a record on tape."

I'm probably reading WAY too far into that, but that coupled with some of the comments he's made since the album came out makes me think maybe they ARE done. Which would suck.

frick, IDK. When he was introing everlong he says "Feels good to be here...blahblahblah....IDK when we'll see you...but we'll see you".

Really look like they were just going through the motions...

I'M SO DAMN CONFUSED!!!

Grohl was as crazy as ever at JazzFest in May. Foo Fighters will return. Mark my words... *gulp*

I hope so. I saw them last year in Little Rock and it was the best show I've ever seen. They just kept playing and playing. You looked up and 3 hours had gone by. Felt like 10 minutes.

if this means more Them Crooked Vultures or Grohl getting involved with QOTSA again, then I can live with a hiatus.

Agreed...but temporarily. I need my FF.

Wonder what T Hawk will mess around with.
