Looks like we're going to see the Turnpike Troubadours there next month.

Anyone ever been? Good venue? Good size? Anything to know?

Any recommendation on where to stay? Just need a couple beds and a shower.

I've been there several times, though none while under its current name. It's been 100 different named venues over the years.

Decent size, big bar in the middle of the room, decent sized standing area in front of stage.

There's a Hampton Inn not too far away. Downtown is pretty close as well, and there's an Embassy, Hotel Indigo, and H2 Suites there.

this is the place Fred's rented out and LSU fans promptly destroyed after beating Bama 9-6 back in 2011.

I saw Robert Earl Keen there when it was still Jupiter Bar & Brill. It's basically Tuscaloosa's version of The Varsity.

My favorite pregame spot on the strip for football games . small crowd, huge screens, tons of standing room. Not a bad venu at all and close to bars to walk to after.
