which ones do you like to use most? I use DADGAD quite a bit and open Em.I like sad sounds.

Drop D, B, A, and C. I don't think I have a guitar in standard. Also my brother's 7 string is F#, D#, G#, C#, D#, G#, C#. Odd dropped tuning there

That C thing, really reminded me of the way Edge use to play. I tried my best to copy him when I was young, but out of standard tuning.

That may not be so crazy, I am going to revisit this when I sober up in the morning and try that.

I like E-flat, Open E and some of the unique tunings by Rzenick and Page.

I like the open E for trying oldstyle blues stuff, jeez, I wish I could afford the time to experiment with all that I hear..life would be a dream. Some of Reznor's stuff..shite,it's powerful,I'll borrow a bit.
The E-flat, you mean dropping everything 1/2 step?,if not, could you give that particular one?

Either standard or a half a step down for me.

One of their best songs for sure

What seven string do you play? And yeah, it is a cool little drop tuning we picked up from John Browne from Monuments.

Sorry man, didn't mean to cause any confusion on that..The next 7 string I play..will be my first, but I can still use the formula to try, might find something new.
There are only the same old notes, for me,getting to loosen some strings up,get a certain sound, being more efficient, with less chance of mistakes, and still get a sound you want, that's everything.
I am not a person that cares about being a great guitar player,or singer, for me,The Song is the STAR. Making it sound good is first priority.

Yeah. A surprising amount of stuff is in that.

Oh yeah, lots of people do that one.
I dropped down like that, for 1 song that we are mixing in the studio right now. It had a dobro on it,and it really made that shine.

I use drop B a lot. B F# B E G# C# but I also use Dean Markley .012-.056 gauge with tuning that low.

Standard, Drop D, and Open E are my fav's.
And whatever this song is tuned to
I can't remember the tuneing. Second string from the bottom tuned half step down.
P.S.- Not a Puddle of Mud fan just like playing that song

I think that is a DADGAD tuning, but I could damn sure be wrong.

Other than standard: Drop D, Drop C, C Tuning. Some nice heavy sounds/songs there.
