So in Europe Magnetic Man, Nero, Skreen, Benga, Flux Pavillion, Chase and Status are terrible and no one attends shows cause dubstep sucks and they hate it?
Lets not group all dubstep into Skrillex peeps. Like any genre their are terrible acts. It doesnt make the genre.

How about other north american acts like The Gaslamp Killer and Zeds Dead??

People like it, no question. I am one of them.

I'd have to imagine most of the music(Europe) is still heavy House and Trance... same it has been for 20 years. Dubstep, which is a growing genre IMO, is the new kid on the block to a point.

Other genres peak and are big at times threw out but those two are mainstays.

It's ok to not like dubstep, but it is being made out to be absolute crap and I am not buying that notion.
I am thinking that most peoples opinions of dubstep is Skrillex and that is just sad.

thats why its pretty much big only in the states and uk

it also seems to be bigger with the younger generation of edm fans who like edm now b/c it just became cool the last couple years.

Being well rounded on an instrument and learning theory is becoming less and less important. DJ's and computers are being preferred by the younger people who don't want to put in the effort to learn the basics. Shame on the devolution of music

Not really a dubstep fan, I'm more a fan of pretty lights and chill music like that. And yes, I've given dub a try, but it's just not for me. I'm not going to get mad at you if you like it or not, whatever floats your boat
