Here is a link to a very large archive of mixes from raves and live sets back in the day. Anyone that used to go to the State Palce will surely find something here and bring back some memories.

It's in alph order by performer.

Enjoy.

I'm looking at the music page, but I don't see how to search shows by venue...

the first track is one of my faves. their music (and performance) was so inspiring then. they really fell off in the early 2000s. really the entire scene fell off around then come to think about it. imo, of course.

thanks 4 the link

oh, you were asking about d&b live video streams. i ran across one. they do regular shows, and do big names occasionally.

word. been on their site forever(breakbeat.co.uk). was pretty much the original site that had drum and bass set videos and live streams. for awhile the live streams from london would be right as i got home from class in college. would sit there and watch/listen to their parties all afternoon.

many of the sites are now using youtube to stream and upload live sets. access to the music now is unreal

How are things there? I haven't been to it in a very long time. We probably know each other if you hung out with that crew between 99-03.

site is inching by. averages maybe a post every 2-3 days

yea i started going to the palace around 98-99. by 2000, i was pretty much locked in the jungle room. i still went to all the shows but if there was good dnb to be heard, i was there.

if you posted on disco i am/was "Poo", "Poo and Pee Mixed Together", and maybe one other name

samesies except I wasn't in the jungle room. usually mainfloor, wandering through other rooms or hanging out on that outside balcony.

Sounds like I'm not missing much then. Used to be a pretty entertaining forum back in the day. A lot of jaded ravers posting on there.

I didn't go much in the jungleroom unless Bukem was playing but a lot of times if he was headlining, the main room wasn't open. Smoked a lot with him and Conrad.

Definitely did a lot of aimless, wandering around. Worst part was trying not to bust your arse coming down the stairs from the jungleroom or the main entrance.

wandering
thats all i recall doing.

My favorite DJs ive seen there were Simply Jeff, Christphor Lawerence and jackyl and hyde. Uberzone that coward backed out of a ton of shows.

I was fortunate to see a live Uberzone set for freakfest (maybe?). Amazing to say the least.

I saw Christopher Lawrence at fudge at the HOB.

Other memorable state palace performances:

Electric Skychurch on New Year's
Charles Feelgood around Mardi Gras was always fun
Rabbit in the Moon
Humpty Vission was always pretty decent. Amazing how many records he could flip through.
Stryfe was a good end of the night performance.
AK1200 had a good main room show one time.

I'm sure I'll think of more. Those memories are pushed back somewhere in my brain.
