Punch Brothers covering

just what I needed by The Cars

Punch Brothers do a lot of great covers, if you appreciate bluegrass/newgrass renditions of other genres. Tons of originals, too, but their covers are probably much more enjoyable to those who aren't big on their style- all five are just so wildly talented that they're hard not to appreciate.

ETA- the first link is to their part in a series where bands were invited to cover 25 popular songs that got crossed off one by one as a band came and performed/recorded it. So there should be 24 other decent enough covers in there. I haven't watched any of them, though.

Make a CD of nothing but covers of Jimi's 'Little Wing'..enjoy!

Hendrix, Sting, John Mayer, Concrete Blonde, Derek & The Dominos, Santana, SRV, The Corrs, Stanley Jordan, Janelle Monae, etc..

Then, immediately listen to Pearl Jam's 'Yellow Ledbetter', you'll now see Eddie's inspiration, much like Miguel's 'Adorn' from Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing'
