Great song. It might be the best on Southeastern and that's saying something.

I saw him last night in Lexington. He was great. The crowd was a douchefest.

Isbell just recorded an episode of Austin City Limits. I can't wait to see that.

So, you like two of Yvette, New South Wales and Super 8, more than Cover Me Up? I don't think any of those songs are bad but I would say they're the bottom three.

Yvette is an absolutely phenomenal song and Super 8 gets better and better the more I listen to it.

I think Super 8 is the one song that just doesn't fit on that album. Wish he would've scrapped it. But yes, top 5 album of the year. All just one man's opinion.

I like them both, but they're not better than CMU.

Isbell never disappoints. His music has more of a grown up feel nowadays, but it's still FANTASTIC. The show at the ryman was spiritual to say the least.

My struggle with this album is figuring it out. Being from the same area I usually knew all the details and tidbits behind the lyrics. But he wrote this one after moving to Nashville so some of them are a bit harder to dissect. Alcoholism, growing up, and traveling obviously are a big influence on this album.

Right now my favorites off this album are...

Cover me up
Live oak
Songs that she sang in the shower
Elephant
New South Wales

But the whole album is just fricking awesome.

And super eight is catchy.

Relatively Easy should get a mention as well. Overall it's one of the best albums, lyrics wise, that I've ever listened to.
