I pretty much always listen to the Better than Ezra Pandora station, is there anything similar on Sirius?

Thanks for the contribution, I'm sure you've waited a long time to use that gif.

Try these:

Sirius XMU
Lithium
Alt Nation

And I can't let a Sirius thread go by w/o plugging the greatest music channel in the history of the world or anywhere else, Little Steven's Underground Garage.

Ch 21

Little Steven himself comes on for an hour at 10, 2 and 6. His spoken riffs on pop culture are often classics.

The lunchtime DJ, Mighty Manfred, is in one of the better current R&R bands, The Woggles

The night guy, Handsome Dick Manitoba, was in The Dictators, contemporaries of the New York Dolls and one of the best prepunk US bands of the '70s

Outlaw Country (Ch 60) plays some occasionally.

Although Underground Garage is my favorite Sirius channel, this is my favorite show:

American Roots Radio

quote:

What is "American Roots Radio"?

The objective of "American Roots Radio" is to present a comprehensive and varied overview of American roots music encompassing all genres.

Our desire is to feature the architects and pioneers, interpreters and stylists who have created, crafted and worked in formats that were invented and honed in the U.S.A.

"American Roots Radio" is Country and Blues and so much more. While it features all styles of the latter you’ll hear Rock ‘n Roll, Jazz, Hillbilly, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Bee Bop, Doo Wop, Boogie Woogie, 20’s Swing, Western Swing, Zydeco, Native American, Surf pioneers, Big Band, R n' B, Soul, Folk, Tejon, Gospel, Hawaiian and The Great American Songbook.

If it’s the root of an American musical genre, you’ll find it on American Roots Radio - The Rock of All Ages.
The host of American Roots Radio is, believe it or not, Bernie Taupin -- better known as Elton John's lyricist. But don't let that scare you off. He is a long time fan of Roots music (even if little of this showed up in John's music); his knowledge of the subject is pretty deep.

American Roots Radio airs on Sirius/XM Channel 30 (The Loft) every Saturday night at 5 PM Central with a new show every other week. Repeat broadcasts air every Thursday at 11 PM.

Unfortunately, the show is apparently going on hiatus for awhile, perhaps permanently (that isn't clear yet). You can still hear Show #100 (the last for awhile) through Saturday, via the Sirius on demand feature. I haven't listened to it yet -- perhaps it will clear up the show's future. If there is a hiatus, I hope they will repeat earlier episodes (I didn't come aboard until around #50).

Listened to this nonstop on a 7 hour drive. Great channel.
