Anybody been? Heading there to see astral project tonight, pictures looks cool, just wondering what to expect.

Did you make it home alive....i wouldn't go see anyone play in that section of town.....

Good thing im not a pussy like you, show was amazing and the venue was very cool. I will be back.

seems like BR is all listening halls and rooms. A shame there isn't a solid 200 room with a bar set up and eclectic booking philosophy like Gasa Gasa or Siberia.

We have Spanish Moon which holds around 350. Its mostly local bands and djs but they get national touring bands sometimes too.

I'm familiar with the Moon ... Probably booked 100 shows there while i was in college. Can hold more than 350 though - sold 500 for Frank Black (probably a major fire code violation).

I'm talking about a place that can both be a decent small venue and bar combo ...

As someone who always has plenty of beer and liquor on hand, I definitely prefer the BYOB aspect of all of these listening room type places.

But agree that another venue type like you described could be useful.
