I'm trying to start over now that I know how to organize my music files. Can't see anywhere on Windows that allows me to delete the songs that I have on there. Sucks. Anybody?

I don't see how that couldn't work. Your flash drive should be just like any other folder on your computer once it's connected. What happens when you right click? Does it just not give an option to delete the file?

Right click on the drive and format it. This will delete everything on it and clean up the memory

No, it's there forever. Just throw it away.

That's gotta be it. Re-format it and start over. Thanks. I will try that.

the folder/files might be "read-only"

you can change that in properties

Thanks for the help fellas. You inspired me. I somehow managed to click and drag a big blue box over all 522 songs and hit one button to delete them all. Scary. One day I'm gonna be real average at this computer stuff.

You may think your question is dumb but I guarantee you it has been asked multiple times on a public website. Make google your friend and you will be able to answer most of your questions yourself.

You probably had it on read-only mode.
