you can pick up 90.3 easily throughout the city, not sure about the second question I would have to think so though

A lot of people fail to realize just how much of Buddy's style that Hendrix copied from Buddy. Buddy was using feedback, playing on the ground, and playing behind his head long before Hendrix.
If you watch the "Lightning in the Bottle" documentary there's a part where they show Buddy shredding in the late 60s and Jimi is sitting front row eyes wide open in awe. Then they Buddy starts telling the story about how everyone was like "that's Jimi Hendrix" and buddy says "who the frick is that?" And he goes on to say that Hendrix said he canceled his show just to watch Buddy play and wanted to play on stage with him.

Also, when Buddy Guy steps on stage everyone else steps back. It doesn't matter if it's Cray, Clapton, or Jimmie Vaughan. The only exception may be BB King. Buddy always takes center stage

Buddy is the last living Blues legend that still puts on a hell of a show. Cannot wait to see him.
A little info on his guitar and amp: He plays a Fender Strat with hot pickups, which means they are louder in tone. He plays it straight into a boutique amp made specially for him. Besides a wah-wah pedal, no effects besides reverb. He cranks the amp to 10 and uses the volume knob on the guitar to control the overdrive.

I'm driving to Houston to see him at HoB.. Just wish Lang was also playing, like he is in BR. I think HoB will be a better experience tho

Venue is not great at all. Its the equivalent of a rental hall; they bring in portable stands and the rows are just chairs lined up (and the rows are quite long, and stacked close together so that everyone has to get up and move out onto the aisle to let people in and out). But, if its the only place in town where Buddy is playing, what else can you do but show up and ignore the crappy locale.

Damn they're pretty proud of themselves..tickets are $65 a head.
