Built in 1987, has some finish checking but I like guitars with some character. Sorry, didnt have time to get great pics.

That thing is really nice, it doesn't appear to have been played a lot. Really like the way the back was done.

That signature back cut makes it a D-35 clone, on in Shen terms the 3532 I think? Nice score.

Man. Guitars like that bug me. Like a rescue dog.

I can help it. I can save it. Set it up (within my ability) and clean it.

Fret Shack. How many do you own currently. And how many have you owned at one time. With your ability and training I’d have a big damned problem. Lol

Don't come across many good guitars anymore, that need much besides playing. Maybe a little tweakin.

I use to find them all the time.

I've really never come across many Shenandoah Guitars, so I don't know much about them, pretty sure I have never even had one in my hands. I don't know why that is. I see plenty of everything else. I did notice a couple for sale the other day at a shop in Birmingham and resisted the urge to try them out, I was looking for some parts for an old mandolin.

I dont see them much either. Currently Reverb only has listings for around ten of them even though they were produced from like 1983-1996 I believe.

Ran across one on Craigslist last year, it was a D-2832 for $400 in great shape with a hard case. The listing was 15 minutes old so I called but already sold.

I have I think a little over a dozen. Most every guitar is a piece for the shop in a way, however, in that it doubles as a tool, a demo, to showcase a restoration, a significant upgrade or overhaul, a test guitar for a specific refret size or pickup replacement. I think I only have one guitar that's totally stock as in the way I got it, unchanged, and that's only because it was celebrity owned and there's nothing I'd change on it to begin with.
