Multi instrumentalist musician from Durham, NC?

Thoughts on his solo work? You can tell that he's definitely a southern blues and gospel fan.

I like him a a lot. A friend of mine showed him to me about six months ago. Good stuff.

He pops up on my Spotify quite a bit. Really enjoy his stuff. Put on a good show at Hogs a few years ago too.

He's also in Hiss Golden Messenger. I've seen them a handful of times here in Winston. Check out Hiss if you like Phil. KEXP has a few live studio performances on their YouTube channel. Phil is the man.

Saw him open for HGM in Austin and loved it. Southland Mission is a great album, but I’d like him to put out something simple and minimal like that solo opening set I saw.

Really digging it. It's got a very NOLA/Gospel feel to it that fits his style really well.
