I hear a lot of praise concerning Billy Strings.
Can you give me 3-5 favorite songs of his that you'd think one must listen to, and that would give me a comprehensive overview of his music?

There all good. Start with some of the better known songs like Turmoil and Tinfoil, Taking Water, Red Daisy, Dust in a Baggie, Enough to Leave, and Away From the Mire. Then go deeper with his jam songs like Meet Me at the Creek, etc....

Dust in a Baggie - Billy Strings (probably down in the basement)

Away from the Mire is where you need to start.
Taking Water is #2 for me.
Dust in the Baggie is fun.

Just put on his playlist on Spotify and enjoy the next few hours He has a lot of great songs.
“Away from the mire” would be a good song to start if you wanted one song to set the tone
