, you listing out their entire catalog song by song doesn't change the fact that Radiohead is always always discussed on an album-by-album basis.

So are Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones albums. What exactly is your point? Deducing that songs on great albums are not good because the whole album is celebrated is simply idiotic.

You could multiply that list by just shy of 3. That is not their catalogue. It´s off the top of the head.

I think you're missing my point.

I wasn't asking how good your memory was. I was making a statement that Radiohead is always discussed on an album basis. Rarely do you hear the discussion go to the track level. It's always: "I think the bends is the best". Not, "karma police makes my dick hard."

I mean, if you'd like I can start rattling outkast songs off the top of my head. Is that the cool thing to do? Perhaps we can have a contest.

His point is that he doesn´t know much about Radiohead, and since they´re not an FM mainstay, he sides with those of a mindless heavy metal, or run the frets white boy imitating the blues crowd.

Let´s be clear. I am NO Radiohead freak. I respect them immensely, nothing more.

frick Outkast.

Whole albums can be celebrated and the songs contained thereon can be celebrated as well.

Why is the blue album great? because the sweater song, only in dreams, say it ain't so, etc. are great.

Why is ATLiens great? Because Elevators, ATLiens, Wheelz of Steel, 13th floor growing old, wailin', Jazzy Belle, Babylon, are great. And these songs are discussed. When you talk great outkast albums the discussion involves the songs.

With Radiohead, it seems that the albums are treated as single entities. I've listened to lots of people have lots of discussions about radiohead albums, and I've never heard the discussion get into a track vs. track comparison.

Moreover, the thing that is truly idiotic is your below statement:

quote:

Deducing that songs on great albums are not good because the whole album is celebrated is simply idiotic.

And the reason that it's idiotic is because it was neither stated nor implied in anything i wrote. Take it up with the strawman instead:

No, my point was quite clear. Your response, on the other hand, was both pointless and non-responsive. It was a non-sequitur, and a waste of perfectly good electrons.

Are you high?

You said everyone talks about albums when discussing Radiohead, I want songs.

I GAVE YOU SONGS.

Oasis, on the other hand, has tracks that one can quickly rattle off: wonderwall, champagne supernova, don't look back in anger, stop crying your heart out, little by little, etc. These are songs that you don't have to listen to 12 times before you realize they're good.

And you didn't even mention their three best songs imo.

Live Forever, Slide Away, and Some Might Say are my three favorites.

You're not very bright are you?

I said everybody discusses albums when talking Radiohead. I did not deny the fact that Radiohead actually has songs.

So I don't know what your objective is in listing out Radiohead songs.

ROFL It was absolutely implied in your statement. It seems like you dont even know what you are trying to say. I will just leave you with your obtuse thoughts.

Okay, you really are dumb. And I mean like real dumb. Like Charly at the end of Flowers For Algernon dumb.

I most definitely meant to say electrons. I won't elaborate further and I'll just enjoy the thought of you struggling to figure out what I meant.

I didn't ask for songs dipshit.

I made a statement about Radiohead and the manner in which fans of Radiohead discuss the band.

The fact that you are of the belief that providing a list of Radiohead songs is even responsive to my point is quite astounding. I don't know what else to say except that I hope you don't reproduce. Seriously, condoms are your friend.

Elaborate. The guy who banged your mother probably didn´t have to do much of that, simply hand over the money, amirite? An outkast roadie, maybe?

You don't know what implied means.

I'll paraphrase what I initially wrote:

me: When fans of a band discuss the band only in terms of their albums and without mentioning individual tracks, it makes me wonder whether that band is really worth a shite.

Okay, Funky Tide, let me help you out. Various things are implicit in the above. Let's figure this out. [take a minute and think]. Okay, here is what is implied:
1. a band without standout tracks is a band that isn't any good.
2. when a band's tracks are never mentioned -- or rarely mentioned -- it suggests that there aren't any standout tracks of note.

You following?

And the reason that "when a whole album is celebrated it means there are no good songs on the album" is definitely definitely NOT implicit in what i wrote is because I specifically address the topic of individual songs. Thus, there is no way that what I wrote can be reasonably interpreted to imply that great albums lack great songs. Moreover, WHO THE frick WOULD EVER SAY GREAT ALBUMS NECESSARILY LACK GREAT SONGS? I mean, jesus tittyfricking christ.

I hope that helps.

1. message board posts, like all electronic data, are stored in memory as 0s and 1s.
2. the difference between a 0 in computer memory and a 1 in computer memory is a difference in voltage level at a certain node.
3. electrons are what make all of this possible.
4. And so when you write a message board post, electrons are put to work to make sure the message board post is saved for future retrieval.
5. Because your message board posts are so insanely retarded, millions of poor electrons -- that could be saving data of actual consequence -- are put to use to store your inane drivel.

Neurons. jesus christ. Did you graduate from UGA?
