This was difficult, but after a little research, I'm going to go with 1977
My evidence:

Television - Marque Moon
Little Feat - Time Loves a Hero
The Clash - self-title
Steely Dan - Aja
Randy Newman - Little Criminals

1969 is up there I'd say.

Standouts would be Abbey Road, The Meters, Led Zeppelin I and II, Cream's Goodbye, Traffic's Last Exit, Bowie's Space Oddity, From Genesis to Revelation, The Velvet Underground, James Brown's Say it Loud I'm Black and I'm Proud, Everybody knows this is nowhere, Sly and the Family Stone's Stand!

And the great Blind Faith was released in 1969. The only album frmo what was a supergroup.
