Jerry Garcia didn't even write the lyrics to his songs
He makes about as much sense in here as somebody nominating Foghat

This many pages and not one Willie Nelson, Lowell George, Ronnie Van Zant, Dickie Betts or Gregg Allman.

Out of those I'd have to go with Willie Nelson.

Not really singer songwriters.

David Gates wasn't too bad. I hated him in the 70's, but appreciate his music today. I still love Jim Croce. My brother was at NSU when JC's plane crashed in Natchitoches. Don McLean had a good run in the 1970's.
