Vol. 10 is tops for me, prime '77 Dead.
Vol. 22, Vol. 7, Vol. 30, and Vol. 17 probably round out my top 5.

10 is pretty much the only one I ever listen to, but I'm not a huge GD fan. I like that one because it has a bunch of my favorite Dead songs on it.

This past Saturday I was at a fellow audiophiles place in uptown NOLA--he had a couple other audio heads there as well. I got to talking to one of the guys I had met briefly once before and we started talking Dead.
He was 60 years old, and a New Orleans native--who happened to do his undergrad at Cornell. So I started to do some quick math in my head and said "so that made you about 20 years old in '77..." And before I could finish my sentence, he says, " yeah, I know where you are going with this, and yes, I was at the greatest Dead show ever!--I even have the stub as proof!"
I thought that was pretty neat.

I have all of them except for #27 because that's post-Brent with Vince only, no Bruce. (I'm sure it's a fine show for that era but I'm not really interested in listening to it more than once so I never bought it.) They're all good. Out of hundreds and hundreds of shows to choose from, Dick picked three dozen. Every one of them has something unique and special.
