Check out the Built to Spill version I linked above, I like it a lot better than the DMB cover. Heck better than the Neil Young original.

I agree.

Built to spill - Ripple - great cover

Bauhaus - Ziggy Stardust - I am a huge fan of david bowie, but might like this better. I have gone as david bowie for three halloweens fwiw.

Postal Service - Against All Odds

Love BtS version of Ripple. Also their cover of Brian Eno's Third Uncle is great. Not sure if it is an official cover, but I saw them do it live at the Howlin Wolf in '08.

I saw that one too! but in denver.

THey almost always deliver with their covers, I think every show I have seen has had a cover. My friends went nuts over Ripple.

They did a talking heads one when I saw them in 01. And it was fantastic. I also saw them do a new order cover, I think in 02?

I have seen them cover how soon is now by the smiths. Not near as good.

eta: the only covers I know they have released recorded versions of are cortex the killer and ripple.

Here is another take on that same song:

Oops I Did it Again- Haley Reinhart

By the way, the crappy camera adds about 15 pounds to her and makes her skin look white and very shiny for some reason, but that’s the camera and not her.

That was the first time hearing John Mayer sing Free Falling. That was amazing.

Here is one of my favorite songs covered by Ray Lamongtane
