Love Andrew Bird, just not his recent album.
It's not my favorite of his either. But I still dug it.

Lol @ radiohead being in this conversation. Go back on hiatus.
I loved the new Radiohead

I actually really liked Chance's album. I'd probably throw it on there as well.

Acid Rap was excellent. Coloring Book was just good
I actually think YG - Still Brazy has been the best pure complete rap album of the year so far.

You sure are mad that a lot of people like those two albums. Wanna talk about it, sport?
Yes, I would like to talk about it. Thank you for your concern. There is so much music out there. Different genres, interesting artists, unique music, etc... and 90% of this board are sheeple and they don't even know it. This board bombs us with the same after same..... and it's the music that the big companies push out there for everyone to buy.

I listed about 20 other albums. Sturgill/Radiohead are very respected musicians and put out great stuff.
Sorry people don't share your enthusiasm for an Ace Frehley solo album.

There have been over 50 unique albums listed in this thread. And if 90% of this thread is just "sheeple", why are you whining about downvotes?

Only a hipster would use a term like "Sheeple."
Back on topic...I forgot about:
The Claypool Lennon Delirium. Excellent and weird album.

You, Seaward....are not who i am talking about. you continue to bring unique music to the board.
50 unique albums from what genres? hmmm, that's my point. Maybe 4 genres. 90% in "indie rock.

yes, Kayhill, u did list 20 albums and i appreciate that. i went down your entire list and gave them a gander.
Actually, I felt Ace's solo album was a little simple and weak. I was attempted to shift the focus to hard rock and heavy metal but the indie rock gods are too strong.

i believe Sturgill is one of the best artists there is right now. I play him basically on a daily basis. I am always up for new music. I don't go a day without listening to music. So when I say it's one of my favorite albums it's because I believe it's excellent. there are some bands/artists that majority on this board just seem to agree on. The war on drugs album from 2014 got love like crazy on here, not because of sheeple, but because objectively it was an outstanding album. Sturgill is getting love because he's frickin great. It's one of the highest rated albums of the year on metacritic, so I guess music critics are sheep too. List who you like, let others do the same.

After two listens in its entirety I have to add Anderson Paak's album to my best of the year list. Excellent groove, super smooth record.
