Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash both have incredible 70's catalogs.
And starting in '77 - the Clash, the Damned and the Stranglers have impressive album runs that go into the 80's.

With punk we can also go with Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Ramones, New York Dolls (I believe were previously mentioned), and the Stooges.

Yep, the Stooges catalog is my favorite of the 70's, including all the crazy live LP's and bootleg studio outtakes.

P-Funk
Is a deep dive that is worth getting into for any funk fan. P-funk touched so many styles. so many good hidden gems in there.
Not just the albums that Funkadelic and Parliament respectively did but also eddie hazel, Bootsy Collins, Bernie, ect stuff they did after they left the band.
To add more:
rock/blues
The Band
Little Feet
roy buchanan
Bo Diddly (big bad bo is my favorite album from him)
Jj Cale
Funk/Soul:
The Meters
cymande (great british soul bad)

I'm not going to argue with any of the posts in this thread but I saw Steve Winwood open for Tom Petty last year and he has a crazy catalog of music, some of which dates back to the 60s. But it's crazy good

Some of those great Traffic songs in his catalog were released in the 70s but you are right. But his catalog is still amazing
